Summary
The ProMAX Platform Series is the only shared storage solution approved by NewTek for use with TriCaster and 3Play devices. TriCaster and 3Play can record multiple streams of video directly to a Platform server, greatly extending storage capacity, total recording time and accessibility of that content to the workgroup. In addition, the integration allows for simultaneous playback of media from the server giving the operator access to a virtually unlimited library of content.

How is this Integration Unique?
To ensure the highest quality productions both TriCaster and 3Play require consistent, uninterrupted access to storage and until now that requirement has only been met by disks directly onboard those devices. Most networked storage systems are not able to achieve the level of read/write performance and consistency of access to media that is required in a production workflow.
ProMAX Platform utilizes a unique low latency packet protocol that enables seamless communication with network connected devices. This technology combined with high performance storage enables Platform to meet the demands of a live production environment
Workflow
The ProMAX Platform acts a hub in the NewTek production workflow providing centralized shared storage for all network connected users and devices. It is also capable of managing transcodes, renders, archives and other post-production processes.
Performance
ProMAX Platform Online and Studio Series have been tested with NewTek TriCaster and 3Play devices for the following stream counts.

Summary
The BlueFish444™ Epoch 4K SuperNova card now enables the capture of SD, HD, 2K and 4K signals directly to a Platform Shared Storage System. By recording directly to Platform, time spent copying media from cameras to server is eliminated and content is immediately available to creative users, greatly improving the efficiency of the workflow.
